Jessica, on the issues that matter:

  • Jessica is proudly the only Planned Parenthood-endorsed candidate in this race. She has a long history of standing up for women’s health and reproductive freedom. Jessica will continue fighting to ensure women’s right to make their own healthcare decisions, especially in the face of increasing attacks on abortion access nationwide.

  • Jessica is committed to passing commonsense gun safety laws to protect our community and families from gun violence. During her time at the California Department of Justice, Jessica worked tirelessly to expand our gun safety laws, make schools safer for our kids, and remove illegal firearms from the streets. 

    In the Assembly, Jessica will take on the gun lobby directly by pushing for reforms that keep guns out of the hands of dangerous individuals, particularly in cases of domestic violence and sexual assault.

  • Jessica knows how important it is to keep our families safe across LA. She believes in comprehensive solutions to tackle homelessness, including expanding access to affordable housing, mental health care, and workforce training. She knows that to make our communities safer, we need policies that support our most vulnerable residents.

  • As a renter, Jessica knows first-hand the struggle that LA families face when it comes to rising housing costs. That’s why she’s committed to fighting for policies that make life more affordable for working families. From addressing the housing crisis to lowering everyday costs like healthcare and childcare, she’s committed to ensuring every family in California can thrive.

  • Jessica is fighting for bold action to address the climate crisis and ensure our communities have access to clean air and water. She is committed to holding polluters accountable and will tackle climate change by fighting for more investments in clean energy.

    When it comes to environmental issues, Jessica has experience getting results. At the Attorney General’s office, Jessica cracked down on big oil companies and other corporate polluters, and installed air quality monitors in our communities to reduce pollution. And as City Commissioner, Jessica oversaw infrastructure projects, including solar installations, water conservation, and recycling. Jessica’s leadership in this field has been recognized with key endorsements by both the Sierra Club and California Environmental Voters.
